ANDY MASER

Andy Maser is an award-winning director and cinematographer of commercials and branded films for Adidas, Facebook, Honeywell, Land O Lakes, Patagonia, Purina, Samsung, Toyota, and United Way, among many others. He brings a nuanced, refined sense of character and story to his commercial work honed through his diverse documentary background.

His television work includes projects for National Geographic, CNN, HBO, and Travel Channel. The three-time Emmy Award winner has also worked with the World Wildlife Fund, American Rivers, Western Rivers Conservancy, and SeaLegacy to tell compelling, cinematic environmental stories. Experienced filming in the world’s most challenging and remote locations, Andy, most recently shot the IMAX nature documentary Great Bear Rainforest (2019), where he spent 120 days living and shooting by boat on BC’s northern coast. This film recently won the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) Award for “Best Cinematography” beating out blockbusters including Universal Pictures “First Man,” National Geographic’s “Free Solo,” and Walt Disney Pictures’ “Avengers: Endgame.” It is currently playing in theaters worldwide.

He also recently shot the feature documentary, The Weight of Water, (2019) which has won nine film festival audience and grand jury awards since its release. His most recent documentary short, Echoes In The Arctic, was selected for premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
